Just a little info about me so you can get some clue where I am coming from, or where I am going. This is my 28th year at Washington School. I also coach the girls' tennis team at Whitewater High School. My coaching does take me out of the building until mid/end of October. You can check out the tennis web page on the high school site to see our schedule if you need to see where I may be some evening that you are trying to contact me. Due to this I am usually at school before 7:30 am if you need to reach me.
I am a graduate of Whitewater High School and went to Lakeview Elementary and Whitewater Jr. High (Middle School). After high school I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and then received my master's degree from UW-Whitewater. Before coming to Washington I taught 6th grade for two years at Lakewood School in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin.
Not only did I go through the Whitewater Schools, but my wife is a Whitewater graduate and my two daughters went through Washington Elementary. My oldest daughter is a graduate of UW-LaCrosse and now teaching in the Janesville School District. My other daughter is a senior at UW-Madison.
I am looking forward to the challenges and fun that we will experience this year in 5th grade.

If you would have asked me that question coming out of high school I would have told you no way. I was born and raised here and wanted to move on. One thing that is definitely true though is that you don't realize what you have until it is gone.
After several years in Madison and then teaching a couple of years elsewhere I met my wife to be. She happened to already be teaching here so back I came. Raising a family I now see the benefits of a small town with good schools and quick, easy access to the big cities when needed. The things that weren't appreciated as a kid, but definitely appreciated now.
